Ketoconazole Cream IP 2% w/w


Kenozole Cream is prescribed for:
  • Topical treatment of Tinea Corporis, Tinea Cruris and Tinea Pedis caused by Trichophyton Rubrum, T. Mentagrophytes and Epidermophyton Floccosum
  • Treatment of Tinea (Pityriasis) Versicolor caused by Malassezia Furfur (Pityrosporum Orbiculare)
  • Treatment of Cutaneous Candidiasis caused by Candida Spp
  • Treatment of Seborrhoeic Dermatitis

 Dosage & Administration

It is recommended that Kenozole Cream should be applied once daily to cover the affected and immediate surrounding area.

Patients with Tinea Versicolor, Candidal Infections, Tinea Cruris and Corporis should be treated for two weeks. Patients with Tinea Pedis require six weeks of treatment. Patients suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis must apply Kenozole cream to the affected area twice daily for four weeks or until the clinical clearing.

If a patient shows no clinical improvement even after the treatment period, the diagnosis should be re-examined.


Kenozole Cream should not be used by persons who are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of this formation.

 Side Effects

Severe itching, burning, irritation, oily or dry scalp, mild hair loss, redness, pain, oozing of treated skin areas, eye redness, and swelling.
